CMA CGM updates transatlantic services from North Europe

CMA CGM has announced a significant revamp of its transatlantic services. These changes aim to improve coverage between North Europe and North America starting in April 2026. Consequently, ports on the US East Coast will receive more frequent calls and enhanced service levels.

The company will also leverage its extensive terminal network across both continents to support these updates. However, the restructuring involves the termination of current service forms for two existing bridges.

Specifically, the Unity Bridge service will make its final departure on the vessel ONE TRITON. This rotation begins in Le Havre on March 16th. Similarly, the Liberty Bridge service will offer its last call to the port of Baltimore. This departure features the vessel EVER FAITH, which starts its final rotation in Southampton on March 27th.

Following these changes, CMA CGM will launch a new version of the Liberty Bridge service. This dedicated route will serve both the US North and South Atlantic coasts. The first sailing under this new format begins with the vessel OOCL CHONGQING. It is scheduled to depart from Southampton on March 27th.

The updated Liberty Bridge rotation will include several key international ports. It starts in Southampton and continues to Antwerp, Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, and Le Havre. Afterward, the service crosses to the United States. It will call at New York, Norfolk, Charleston, and Savannah before returning to Southampton.

These adjustments reflect the carrier’s commitment to reinforcing its transatlantic presence. Therefore, customers can expect improved transit options and reliable terminal access through this revised network.
