PepsiCo and ID Logistics open new logistics hub in Dourges
PepsiCo and ID Logistics have inaugurated a new-generation logistics platform in Dourges, at the heart of the Delta 3 hub.
The site has been operational since October 2025 and now serves as PepsiCo France’s main logistics hub. It replaces the historic Libercourt facility and supports the group’s growth in savoury snacks, including Lay’s, Doritos, Cheetos and Benenuts.
The platform covers 56,000 sq m within the wider 136,000 sq m Delta 3 site. It can store up to 52,000 pallets and features 55 loading docks. PepsiCo designed the facility to improve service quality, flexibility and customization for customers.
ID Logistics operates the site using advanced digital and automated systems. Automated docks handle around 70% of inbound flows. Autonomous vehicles manage internal transport. Real-time tracking tools ensure full traceability.
The site also uses ID Logistics’ ASTRID autonomous inventory robot. It scans up to 5,000 pallets per hour and performs continuous stock checks without stopping operations.
Sustainability is a core focus. The multimodal location supports road, rail and inland waterway transport. Five electric trucks and five fast-charging stations are already in operation.
Nearly 70% of PepsiCo’s transport flows in France are now low-carbon. This delivered CO₂ savings of 14,254 tonnes in 2025 compared with a full diesel model.
The site targets BREEAM Excellent certification. It hosts Europe’s largest single-roof solar installation, with more than 128,000 sq m of panels. It also includes energy optimisation systems and rainwater harvesting.
“The Dourges site is a strategic tool to support brand growth and accelerate supply chain decarbonisation,” said Laurent Kamiel, Supply Chain Transformation Director at PepsiCo Western Europe.
Frédéric Grenier, General Manager of ID Logistics France, said the platform is designed to handle high volumes while ensuring operational reliability.
All employees from the former Libercourt site have transferred to Dourges. The project also strengthens economic activity in the Hauts-de-France region.
