Sidra Line launches new West Africa Service
Sidra Line is expanding its network with the introduction of a new West Africa Service (WAF). According to DynaLiners, the service is scheduled to make its first sailing later this month. This new route establishes a direct connection between the Eastern Mediterranean and Guinea.
The service will link key ports in Turkey and Egypt with West Africa using a single vessel with a capacity of 700 TEU. Sidra Line plans to operate this route on a roundtrip schedule lasting seven weeks. This focused rotation provides a niche connection for shippers moving goods between these regions.
The specific port calls for the WAF service are as follows:
-
Izmit (Safiport), Turkey
-
Istanbul (Ambarli), Turkey
-
Alexandria, Egypt
-
Kamsar, Guinea
-
Izmit (Safiport), Turkey
By adding this connection, Sidra Line strengthens its regional coverage and provides dedicated capacity for the Guinean market. This strategic move allows the carrier to facilitate trade flows from Turkish and Egyptian industrial hubs directly to West Africa.
