CMA CGM halts dangerous goods bookings for Middle East

CMA CGM has decided to stop all Dangerous Goods (DG) and Hazardous bookings with immediate effect until further notice. This decision applies to both imports and exports for the following countries:

  • Middle East: Iraq, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.

  • Red Sea / Levant: Jordan, Yemen, Egypt (Port of Ain Sokhna only), Djibouti, Sudan, and Eritrea.

Rationale and Cargo Status

The measure aims to ensure cargo integrity, equipment positioning stability, and operational safety.

For hazardous containers already on board or ready to load at the port of loading, the carrier will provide a further notice shortly.
