CMA CGM offers access to NEOLINER ORIGIN transatlantic service
CMA CGM announced an enhancement ,offering customers access to sailings operated by the wind-powered vessel NEOLINER ORIGIN.

CMA CGM has announced an enhancement to its transatlantic network by offering customers access to sailings operated by the wind-powered vessel NEOLINER ORIGIN.

The move forms part of the company’s strategy to expand low-carbon transport solutions while strengthening connections between France and North America.

Through this initiative, customers will be able to access direct round-trip services linking Montoir in France with Baltimore in the United States and Halifax in Canada.

The NEOLINER ORIGIN is among the first commercial vessels on this route to utilize wind-assisted propulsion, offering a more environmentally sustainable alternative for transatlantic shipping.

According to CMA CGM, the service will accommodate a wide range of cargo, including dry containers, out-of-gauge shipments and refrigerated cargo.

The vessel’s propulsion system is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80 to 90 percent during ocean crossings compared with conventional shipping methods.

The first departure from Baltimore is scheduled for 24 April 2026, followed by the first sailing from Montoir on 16 May 2026.

Bookings for the service will be available through CMA CGM’s standard digital platforms, with additional information and schedules to be published online.

The company said the initiative reinforces its commitment to sustainable shipping while providing customers with more flexible and environmentally responsible transport options across the Atlantic trade lane.
