Blue Water Shipping expands in Chile
Blue Water Shipping has announced the establishment of a dedicated reefer department in Chile, marking a strategic expansion aimed at strengthening support for temperature-controlled and dry cargo operations in a key regional market.
The new setup enhances the company’s capabilities in handling both perishable and general cargo, while reinforcing its commitment to delivering integrated logistics solutions across its global network.
The Chile-based team brings extensive expertise in perishable logistics and cargo operations, supported by long-standing experience with established freight forwarders and a strong background in developing reefer business in the country. Collectively, the team offers more than four decades of operational and commercial experience across both reefer and dry cargo sectors.
With this addition, Blue Water Shipping further strengthens its presence in the Americas, supporting its continued growth strategy. The team will collaborate closely with global colleagues to provide end-to-end logistics solutions covering reefer and dry cargo, across import, export, air and sea freight services.
The move also responds to growing regional demand for temperature-controlled logistics. Chile plays a critical role in the export of fruit, seafood, agricultural products and other sensitive goods that require precise handling and reliable cold chain management.
“Our new Reefer setup strengthens how we support our customers, but it also brings in colleagues whose experience and dedication make a real difference from day one. We are genuinely pleased to welcome them, and I’m confident their knowledge of the market and commitment to doing things the right way will benefit both our clients and our wider network,” said Martijin Pentermann.
Through this development, Blue Water Shipping aims to enhance service reliability and provide specialized expertise to customers operating in the temperature-controlled logistics segment.
