Maritime Technical Networking Summit concludes successfully in Greece
The 2nd Maritime Technical Networking Summit concluded successfully on May 14–15, 2026 at Grecotel La Riviera, reinforcing its position as a key platform for technological innovation, operational excellence and decarbonisation discussions within the maritime industry.
Organised by Boussias Events under the auspices of MARTECMA, AMMITEC, Propeller Club, the Hellenic Institute of Marine Technology and HEMEXPO, the summit gathered Technical, Energy Performance and Purchasing Managers from leading shipping companies, alongside technology and solutions providers from Greece and abroad.
Antonia Saratsopoulou, Managing Editor of Container News, served as the summit moderator, leading the event’s discussions and coordinating the conference programme and panel sessions throughout the two-day gathering.
The event focused on practical technologies and measurable solutions supporting shipping’s transition towards decarbonisation and operational efficiency, while also strengthening collaboration between shipping companies and maritime technology providers.

One of the summit’s key highlights was the keynote address delivered by Stefanos Gkikas, Greece’s Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, who emphasised the strategic importance of renewing the Greek ferry fleet and accelerating the industry’s green and digital transition.
The conference programme also included panel discussions on marine equipment for green shipping and the strategic opportunities shaping the future competitiveness of Greek shipping in an evolving global maritime landscape.
Participating shipping companies included Prominence Maritime, Celestyal Cruises, Technomar Shipping, Maran Tankers, Diana Shipping Services, Seanergy Maritime Holdings and Seaven Tanker and Dry Management, among others.
Technology and solutions providers participating in the summit included ROXTEC HELLAS, Eurochem International, Control System, METIS, Ulysses Hellas, Chemco Marine Coatings and Benefit Software.

According to the organisers, preparations for the Maritime Technical Networking Summit 2027 are already underway, with the objective of further expanding the summit’s international presence and strategic role in shaping a technologically advanced and digitally mature maritime industry.
