Bermuda-headquartered crude oil tanker company DHT Holdings has taken delivery of the second of four very large crude carriers (VLCCs) being constructed in South Korea, some two months after the first unit.

The delivery of DHT Addax from Hanwha Ocean was announced on March 6, with the vessel set to enter the spot market.
The first VLCC, named DHT Antelope, was delivered on January 2 from Hanwha Ocean, with the next newbuilding scheduled for delivery late this month, followed by the last unit in the first half of the year. The latter two will be named DHT Gazelle and Impala.
As disclosed, the vessels will be fitted with exhaust gas cleaning systems, will be Tier III compliant, and will hold class-ready notations for multiple fuels.
