CMA CGM applies port congestion surcharge in Gabon

In light of the current situation in Libreville, Gabon, French ocean carrier CMA CGM has informed its customers about the introduction of a Port Congestion Surcharge (PCS).

This surcharge will take effect from 15 February, with an implementation date of 15 March for shipments from North America, Latin America, Australia, and Canada.

The surcharge applies to all shipments destined for the port of Libreville and will cover dry cargo, including out-of-gauge (OOG) shipments, and refrigerated (reefer) containers.

The surcharge amounts to US$200 per container.
