asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT), part of SATS Ltd, has snagged the Outstanding Sustainable Enterprise Award (Non-Listed Companies) at the 2024 ESG Green Development and Carbon Neutrality Awards hosted by AM730.

AAT is the only airfreight logistics provider to receive this accolade, showcasing its commitment to weaving environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into its daily operations. The awards were evaluated by a panel of sustainability experts who recognized initiatives that align with Hong Kong’s enterprising goal for carbon neutrality by 2050.

The event on March 25, 2025, brought together industry leaders and sustainability advocates. Mr. Tse Chin Wan, BBS, JP—Secretary for Habitat and Ecology of the HKSAR Government—praised all recipients for their role in fostering systemic change. AAT’s CEO Mike Chew dedicated this honor to his team and partners: “This award symbolizes our united effort towards sustainable transformation in air cargo logistics.”

AAT has made notable strides in decarbonization with innovations like an autonomous electric tractor fleet. Their approach encompasses workforce development alongside ethical business practices; every decision reflects their commitment to ESG values. This recognition reinforces their vision of a future were responsible logistics leads to considerable progress.

The company’s green initiatives include switching to electric vehicles and installing charging stations while incorporating sustainable features into its facilities—all contributing to a notable 33% reduction in carbon emissions since 2018. AAT also signed the HKIA 2050 Net Zero Carbon pledge and engages actively with IATA’s Environmental Assessments.

Apart from environmental efforts, AAT prioritizes employee well-being through a supportive workplace culture. In 2024 alone, they provided over 28,000 hours of training focused on professional growth and also topics like sustainability awareness and anti-bribery measures—ensuring high standards in corporate governance.
