Russian yard launches new fire and rescue boat

A fixed extinguishing system will meanwhile provide additional protection for the entire hull to minimise the risk of damage when operating close to fires on shore or on other vessels.

Because of the boat's modular design, it can be configured with additional compartments for housing rescued survivors. Alternatively, it can be fitted with a cabin featuring only a helm station and no space for passengers, thereby making the boat smaller, lighter, and more manoeuvrable.
