Riyadh Advances Metro Line 7 Project Amid Rising Passenger Demand
SAUDI ARABIA: The Royal Commission for Riyadh City is moving forward with plans for a seventh metro line, inviting bids for its design and construction by June 15.
This initial phase of Line 7 will stretch over 65 kilometers, connecting King Khalid International Airport in the north to Qiddiya entertainment City in the west. It will also serve key areas like Diriyah Gate and the new Murabba district, featuring a total of 19 stations that will link up with the existing metro network launched late last year.

“In just two months as launching, nearly 18 million passengers have already used the metro,” shared Dr. Adel Jemah, Senior VP at Hill International, in an interview with Railway Gazette International. “The RCRC is actively planning extensions to accommodate ongoing major developments around Riyadh.”
A key player in the Riyadh Advanced Metro Project Execution & Delivery joint venture, Hill International has been instrumental in managing and overseeing lines four through six’s design and construction.
