Embraer Partners with Poland to Shape the Future of Urban Mobility

Embraer has officially become a member of the Polish New Mobility Association (PSNM),aiming to revolutionize air travel by focusing on eco-kind practices, especially in regional aviation.

This partnership is a step towards meeting global and European climate targets, which strive for carbon neutrality in transportation by 2050. Key initiatives include advancing Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), exploring electric and hybrid flight technologies, and enhancing overall operational efficiency within the industry.

“We’re excited to have Embraer join PSNM. Their expertise and innovative technologies can significantly boost our efforts to transform aviation,” states Aleksander Rajch from PSNM’s Management Board. “With aviation contributing around 2.5% of global CO₂ emissions and passenger numbers projected to double by 2045, we must act swiftly. Collaborating with Embraer will help us promote SAF usage, develop alternative propulsion infrastructure, and optimize over 450 regional airports across Europe—positioning Poland as a leader in sustainable air travel,” he adds.

A major player in aircraft manufacturing, Embraer is at the forefront of developing sustainable aviation solutions through various R&D initiatives. This includes projects from its subsidiary Eve Air Mobility that specializes in electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL).

“with over 25 years of presence in Poland, we are deepening our commitment to sustainable aviation through this collaboration with PSNM,” says Marie-Louise Phillippe, Senior VP Sales & Marketing for Europe and Central Asia at Embraer. “As an industry leader, we’re dedicated to creating modern technologies that minimize our carbon footprint while leveraging PSNM’s sustainability expertise for effective decarbonization strategies across Poland and Europe.”

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) suggests that by 2050 the sector could cut CO₂ emissions by up to 65% using SAF alone; an additional reduction of about 13% could come from new propulsion systems while further improvements would stem from operational efficiencies and offset strategies. Integrating air travel into a broader mobility ecosystem—featuring zero-emission ground transport options—is also crucial.

Joining PSNM opens doors for Embraer to collaborate with polish tech firms, institutions, and regional airport operators aimed at fostering sustainable air connectivity throughout Poland as well as Central and Eastern Europe.
