Departing containership collides with tanker near Antwerp

Authorities in Belgium report that a container vessel accidentally struck and damaged a tanker on the Scheldt River near the Port of Antwerp on Friday, May 30.

The CMA CGM-operated, UK-flagged Containerships Nord was departing Antwerp when it collided with the inbound tanker Beringzee at around 14:15 local time on Friday.
