According to a recent publication by Nor-Shipping, Bibby Marine and bound4blue have clinched prestigious awards at the 2025 event, with Bibby Marine taking home the Next Generation Ship Award and bound4blue receiving the Ocean Solutions Award. Bibby Marine’s innovative eCSOV hybrid vessels were celebrated for their impressive zero-emission features, boasting the largest battery banks ever seen on DP2 ships. These vessels can directly charge from wind farms and utilize methanol fuel systems for environmentally kind operations.
The eCSOV is set to be a game-changer in maritime technology, featuring nearly 25MW of Corvus batteries, marking it as the first fully electric offshore vessel globally. On another front, bound4blue’s cutting-edge eSAIL technology won accolades in its category by using suction sails that significantly reduce fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions. this autonomous system is designed for easy installation and works seamlessly across different shipping sectors.

The awards were presented during the Ocean Leadership Conference held in Lillestrøm, Norway. Bibby Marine triumphed over notable competitors like Windcat and NYK Shipping while bound4blue outshone nominees such as Wärtsilä and ORCA AI.
