A recent publication by Bloomberg indicates that this funding round has attracted notable interest from various private credit firms and banks and is expected to close soon.
Ladi Delano, one of Moove’s co-founders, commented on the fundraising efforts without divulging specifics. He emphasized that Moove has established solid relationships with top lenders globally and highlighted their accomplished repayment of initial debt facilities as a sign of their growth and readiness for expanding into global autonomous vehicle markets.

The startup was launched by Delano alongside Jide Odunsi to primarily finance vehicles for ride-hailing drivers across major African cities. With notable investors like Uber Technologies Inc., Moove has made strides since its inception. The partnership with Waymo aims to leverage self-driving technology tailored for taxis and other vehicles.
The next phase involves deploying its first fleet of autonomous vehicles within the U.S., which will be managed directly by Moove itself. Currently operating across more than a dozen countries—including Mexico, India, and the UAE—Moove boasts one of the largest fleets in ride-hailing services with around 38,000 cars available through its platform.
Nigeria serves as Moove’s birthplace—a nation known not only for being Africa’s most populous but also home to innovative startups like Flutterwave and Interswitch. The continent’s youthful population is rapidly embracing technology-driven services such as digital banking and streaming platforms that fill gaps left by customary infrastructure systems.
This year alone has seen Moove’s revenue soar nearly to $400 million compared to $275 million last year—an notable leap that enabled them to pay off approximately $100 million in loans thus far.
