Kunar’s extensive background includes serving as both chief financial officer and chief strategy officer for DHL Supply Chain north America. He will now report directly to Oscar de Bok, who is the CEO of DHL Supply Chain.

DHL Supply Chain North America holds a meaningful position in the logistics sector, ranking No. 13 on Transport Topics’ Top 100 list of major logistics firms in North America. The parent company itself is recognized globally at No. 5 on the TT Top 50 list for freight companies.

“Mark’s diverse experience in supply chain management and his strong leadership qualities make him perfectly suited to guide our operations forward,” stated de Bok.

Kunar’s rise through the ranks culminated in his promotion to chief strategy officer last year, where he focused on implementing key aspects of DHL’s ambitious “Strategy 2030.” This plan includes integrating recent acquisitions such as Inmar Supply Chain Solutions and IDS Fulfillment into their operations.

The workforce at DHL Supply Chain has grown to encompass around 52,000 employees across various roles.

In other news within the industry, Patrick Kelleher will transition to GXO Logistics as their new CEO starting August 19th. His departure follows Malcolm Wilson’s retirement proclamation from GXO back in December after leading since its inception in August 2021.

DHL is making strategic moves this year aimed at enhancing its high-margin logistics services while keeping customer satisfaction front and center—especially crucial for e-commerce growth drivers.

A recent publication by DHL highlighted that customers are more likely to abandon purchases if their preferred delivery options aren’t available—a critical insight for e-commerce strategies moving forward.

DHL eCommerce specializes in providing parcel delivery solutions both domestically and internationally for businesses with high shipping volumes.

This July marks a new chapter for scott Ashbaugh who takes over responsibility for all e-commerce operations within North America. Based out of Weston, Florida, he will report directly to Pablo Ciano at DHL eCommerce after previously serving as chief commercial officer since joining back in ’07.Ashbaugh succeeds Lee Spratt who has decided to retire after nearly two decades with the company as joining it back in ’04.”
