T.Parker Host Expands Horizons with Transmarine Acquisition, Establishing the Largest Tramp Shipping Agency in the U.S

A recent publication by T. Parker Host (HOST), a key player in maritime agency and terminal services across the U.S., reveals their acquisition of Transmarine Navigation Corporation, a prominent ship agency on the West Coast. This merger has resulted in the creation of the largest independent tramp ship agency in the nation, considerably broadening HOST’s maritime reach from coast to coast, including hawaii.

Celebrating its centennial milestone in 2023, HOST has transformed what was once Avondale Shipyard into its operational hub known as Avondale Global Gateway. Simultaneously occurring, Transmarine operates out of Long Beach, California and is well-regarded for its services along the West Coast.

Adam Anderson, who serves as Chairman and CEO of T.Parker Host, expressed that this acquisition is a strategic move that aligns perfectly with their goal to provide seamless marine solutions at every major port throughout the U.S. He emphasized that partnering with Transmarine allows them to extend their influence into Pacific waters while maintaining their commitment to responsiveness and reliability—qualities they pride themselves on at all major ports.

With over 85 years under its belt navigating Pacific routes, Transmarine brings invaluable relationships and operational expertise across key locations such as Honolulu, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco, and Long Beach.

Leslie Clements, Managing Director at Transmarine stated that HOST represents an ideal partner for continuing their legacy. Together they aim to enhance client service through personalized attention backed by increased resources and shared dedication.

Following this merger, HOST will now have operations established at every significant port nationwide while expanding further into Hawaii and along the Pacific Coast. The New Orleans and Houston offices will merge but continue serving existing clients from both companies seamlessly; other operations will integrate smoothly under HOST’s robust infrastructure supported by advanced digital systems.

This strategic acquisition not only strengthens HOST’s position within the maritime sector but also underscores their commitment to investing in top-tier service quality alongside cutting-edge technology.
