Andfjord Salmon completes inlet waterway for land-based salmon farm
Land-based salmon farmer Andfjord Salmon has completed the construction of the inlet waterway for its facility at Kvalnes on the island of Andøya, Norway.
The one-kilometre-long inlet tunnel will provide the farm's pools with continuous access to Arctic seawater. Its entry point is located at approximately 50 metres water depth, below the zone where salmon lice and harmful algae typically reside. The waterway is designed to support a future production of approximately 48,100 tonnes.
