Greece’s unemployment rate stood at 8.2% in November 2025, according to new figures released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT), marking a clear improvement in the labor market as the country moved toward the end of the year.
The November reading was lower than the revised 9.7% recorded in November 2024 and also down from 8.6% in October 2025, continuing a steady downward trend in joblessness. Unemployment down sharply from last year
The total number of unemployed people fell to 395,436 in November. This represents a decrease of 62,458 individuals compared with the same month a year earlier, which signifies a drop of 13.6%. On a monthly basis, the number of unemployed declined by 13,900 people, or 3.4%, compared with October.
