Ocado Retail, a joint venture between the Ocado Group and Marks & Spencer, has launched a new regional distribution spoke in Nottingham, UK.
At its full operational capacity, the Nottingham spoke will create 400 local jobs.

The move comes amid rising consumer demand.
Ocado Retail chief financial officer Mat Ankers stated: “More customers are choosing to shop with Ocado every day, and we’re committed to serving them nationally. As a result, we’re pleased to be investing into the expansion of our property portfolio. By expanding our infrastructure, we are not only driving greater efficiency and meeting customer demand but also enhancing the customer service experience. This is the essential framework for our growth mission, building a foundation for the next chapter of Ocado Retail.”
The latest launch will enhance operational efficiency, increasing capacity to fuel growth plans.
Ankers added: “The new facility will allow us to deliver more customer orders and be located closer to customer homes to deliver more efficiently. We are continually on the lookout for similar urban and ultra-urban distribution properties across the UK to work with and support our existing portfolio, which will enable further operational efficiencies and growth in line with business aspirations.”

By GlobalDataOcado Retail generated revenues of £2.68bn ($3.37bn) in the fiscal year 2024 (FY24), up 14% from the previous year.
The growth was driven by an increase in customers and order frequency, improving the company’s share of the UK online grocery market by 1.8 percentage points to 12.9%.
