Primary and urgent care group Med First has reported an increase of more than 6% in revenue after it started implementing Arintra’s medical coding solutions.
Serving more than 220,000 patients each year, the group implemented the autonomous coding solutions through the athenahealth Marketplace.

The AI medical coding enhancement underpins Med First’s strategy to increase its number of locations from 27 to nearly 40, with the goal of improving access to healthcare services.
With a limited number of certified coders, Med First had earlier depended on its providers to code claims, which posed a risk of missed revenue.
By implementing Arintra, the organisation automated and standardised the coding process, bolstered compliance, and reinforced its financial foundation for expansion.
Med First anticipates that this will facilitate increased access to primary and urgent care across its communities.
