Emirates Shipping Line, Wan Hai to commence joint India–East Med service

Emirates Shipping Line and Wan Hai Lines will launch their new joint service, the India–East Mediterranean 2 (IM2) Service, on 1 June 2025, aiming to strengthen trade connectivity between South Asia and the Eastern Mediterranean region.
This collaboration marks a strategic expansion of Wan Hai Lines’ network, providing direct and reliable links from India to key Eastern Mediterranean ports. The IM2 service will enhance port coverage and improve transit schedules for customers shipping along this vital trade corridor.
The service will be operated by two vessels with a nominal capacity of 2,700–2,800 TEU each.
The maiden voyage of the IM2 service will depart from Mundra Port, India, on 1 June 2025, and operate on a fixed 28-day round-trip rotation. The full port rotation is:
Mundra (India) – Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) – Suez (Egypt) – Alexandria (Egypt) – Mersin (Turkey) – Suez – Jeddah – Mundra.
