European Union’s new strategic vision for Black Sea

In response to escalating regional tensions and the intensifying threat landscape, the European Union (EU) has unveiled a new strategic initiative for the Black Sea region, placing maritime security and connectivity at the core of its priorities.

The comprehensive strategy aims to bolster defense readiness, safeguard critical infrastructure, and reinforce regional cooperation, particularly in the wake of renewed hostilities in Ukraine.

At the heart of this strategy lies the establishment of a Black Sea Maritime Security Hub, envisioned as both a tactical response center and an early warning system.
