OptimaLINE Reefer sales break 20,000-unit mark

Carrier Transicold reports that global sales of its OptimaLINE container refrigeration unit have topped 20,000 since the product’s commercial launch in September 2024,evidence of rising demand for high-efficiency, low-emission cold-chain technology.
Carrier Transicold is a business of Carrier Global Corporation, a leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.
The OptimaLINE design pairs a variable-speed scroll compressor with a permanent-magnet motor and smart controls, trimming annual energy use by up to 15 percent and cutting carbon emissions by as much as 40 percent compared with earlier models.
Vineet Kashyap, Vice-President & General Manager, Global Container Refrigeration, Carrier Transicold said that it is being expected an adoption to accelerate as operators seek more intelligent, customer-centric solutions across the cold chain.
The units have proven reliable in extended sea trials, moving temperature-sensitive cargoes from –25 °C to 6 °C on voyages lasting two to three weeks along major ocean trade routes.
OptimaLINE is fully compatible with Carrier’s Lynx Fleet telematics platform, which provides real-time performance data, GPS tracking, remote monitoring and predictive maintenance to enhance fleet management and cargo protection.
This sales milestone supports Carrier’s broader goal of helping customers avoid more than one gigaton of greenhouse-gas emissions by 2030.
