Hellmann Worldwide Logistics doubles Melbourne footprint

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has opened a cutting-edge contract-logistics centre in Truganina, doubling its warehousing capacity in the Melbourne metropolitan area.
The 19,000-square-metre multi-user facility, equipped with 18,000 pallet positions and advanced warehouse-management systems, broadens Hellmann’s portfolio of digital, full-service logistics for customers in sectors ranging from automotive and healthcare to food, beverages and fast-moving consumer goods.
The site is designed to achieve a 5-Star Green Star As-Built rating, featuring a 200-kilowatt solar array, 30,000-litre rainwater tanks and ten EV-charging stations, underscoring the firm’s sustainability commitments.
Mark Fitzpatrick, Regional COO Contract Logistics APAC, said the strategically located hub creates the foundation for even more flexible and efficient supply-chain solutions, while Volker Sauerborn, Global COO Contract Logistics, called the opening another milestone in Hellmann’s drive to offer innovative, environmentally conscious services worldwide.
