AD Ports Group signs MoU with Critical Minerals Forum

AD Ports Group has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Critical Minerals Forum (CMF) to build strategic cooperation focused on enhancing the resilience and sustainability of global critical mineral supply chains.
The partnership will leverage AD Ports Group’s network of ports, terminals, and shipping routes to support the CMF’s mission of expanding trade in critical minerals such as graphite, cobalt, manganese, nickel, and lithium.
Demand for these minerals is rising sharply. According to the International Energy Agency, electric vehicles require six times more mineral input than conventional cars, with demand for graphite, cobalt, and nickel projected to grow 20-fold and lithium by 13 times by 2040.
“This collaboration represents a pivotal step in supporting sustainable energy transitions and global economic growth. AD Ports Group is uniquely positioned to enable diversified, resilient trade flows essential for meeting the surge in critical mineral demand,” said Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group.
“AD Ports Group’s logistics capabilities will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and flexibility of critical minerals supply chains, which often span multiple continents,” said Rob Strayer, President of the Critical Minerals Forum.
