LX Pantos Americas appoints new CEO

LX Pantos has announced the appointment of David Bang as Chief Executive Officer for its Americas operations.
A globally respected logistics expert with over 30 years of industry experience, Bang will spearhead the company’s regional expansion and business development strategy across North, Central, and South America.
Bang brings a wealth of leadership experience from global logistics giants such as DHL and Hellmann Worldwide Logistics. Notably, he led LifeConEx for 14 years, during which he helped position DHL as a leader in cold chain solutions. Most recently, Bang served as Chief Commercial Officer at JAS Worldwide, overseeing sales and marketing efforts in over 50 countries.
Based in the US, Bang will oversee LX Pantos operations in key markets including Mexico, Brazil, Panama, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina, while also leading initiatives to acquire new clients and expand the company’s footprint in the region.
This leadership move aligns with LX Pantos’s broader strategy to solidify its presence in the Americas, the largest logistics market in the world.
Recent efforts include the launch of Boxlinks LLC to provide intermodal transportation services in the U.S. The company has also bolstered its infrastructure with the acquisition of a massive logistics center in Georgia, spanning the size of 43 soccer fields.
LX Pantos CEO Lee Yong-ho, highlightedt the Americas region as a cornerstone of their global growth strategy, saying David Bang’s proven track record and deep industry expertise will be instrumental in elevating their position as a leading global logistics provider.
In tandem with this strategic appointment, LX Pantos is also reinforcing its air cargo capabilities.
Kim Young-sang has been named Executive Vice President and Head of the Air Cargo Division. Kim joins from Korean Air, bringing 29 years of experience in air logistics, including charter operations, block space agreements, and specialized cargo segments such as semiconductors, biopharmaceuticals, and perishables.
With a background that includes international assignments in North America and Southeast Asia, Kim is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing LX Pantos’s competitiveness in the global air freight market.
