Freightos strengthens board with new Chairman and Director

Freightos has strengthened its board of directors with two key appointments, aiming to accelerate its push for digital transformation in global freight.
Udo Lange, a board member since 2019, has been named Non-Executive Chairman. Rotem Hershko, a former senior executive at Amazon and Maersk, has joined as a new board director. Both appointments took effect on July 28.
Lange brings more than three decades of logistics leadership to the role. He’s currently CEO of shipping giant Stolt-Nielsen and previously held senior positions at FedEx, including President of Healthcare, Logistics and Americas International. He also served on the White House Supply Chain Disruption Task Force.
“I’m honored to take on this role,” Lange said. “Freightos is at the center of global freight digitization, and I’m excited to support its next phase of growth.”
Hershko adds serious digital muscle to the board. He led major product and platform initiatives at Amazon and helped drive Maersk’s digital transformation as Chief Product Officer. Today, he advises McKinsey & Company on digital logistics.
“Rotem’s background blends technology, logistics, and platform strategy, exactly what Freightos needs as it scales,” said CEO Zvi Schreiber.
Freightos has seen steady growth, now handling over 1.5 million annualized transactions on its platform. It recently launched Freightos Enterprise, a new solution for large importers and exporters, and acquired Shipsta to expand its reach.
The company says the board changes reflect its continued commitment to shaping the future of digital freight.
