Everllence to operate new Texas gas power plant

Everllence has signed an Operation and Maintenance (O&M) agreement with the Kerrville Public Utility Board (KPUB) to manage its new balancing power plant under construction in Colorado County, Texas. Financed by the Texas Energy Fund (TEF), the 124 MW facility is expected to stabilize electricity tariffs for more than 24,000 households and businesses in Kerrville and surrounding areas.

Under the agreement, Everllence will handle daily operations, maintenance, and logistics for the plant, including spare parts, urea, lubricants, and all auxiliary systems to ensure reliable and cost-efficient performance.

“This lighthouse project is the first generation facility KPUB will own – a major leap forward for our utility. Everllence’s professionalism and proven expertise operating plants of this scale and complexity have given us a high level of confidence in taking that step,” said Mike Wittler, General Manager & CEO of KPUB.

Bernd Philipp, Head of Operation & Maintenance Agreements at Everllence PrimeServ, added: “We’re honored that KPUB has entrusted us with the full operation and maintenance of their 124 MW plant. This project marks our first O&M contract in the US under our new name, Everllence. While our name may be new, we remain the same competent and reliable partner that we have always been.”
