Maersk welcomes Brisbane Mærsk to fleet

Maersk has welcomed Brisbane Mærsk, the fourth vessel in its Hermes-class series, to its fleet. The ship was officially named by Mrs. Eileen Hansen, spouse of Maersk Lead Mechanical Superintendent Gert Vittrup P., who served as godmother at the ceremony.

Brisbane Mærsk is equipped with a dual-fuel engine capable of running on bio- and e-methanol, marking another step forward in Maersk’s sustainable shipping and decarbonisation efforts.
The vessel was built in partnership with HD Hyundai Heavy Industries and Everllence, combining advanced technology with environmental responsibility.
