Carrier Transicold wins 1,000-unit order from Great White Fleet
Expanding Cold Chain Capabilities
Carrier Transicold has received an order for 1,000 OptimaLINE
units with EverFRESH® technology from Great White Fleet, the ocean transport arm of Chiquita Group. The deal strengthens both companies’ commitment to innovation and sustainable cold chain solutions.
Advancing Perishable Cargo Transport
EverFRESH technology controls oxygen and carbon dioxide (CO₂) inside refrigerated containers, slowing ripening and extending freshness for sensitive cargo such as bananas. This precision improves product quality, energy efficiency, and reliability across long-distance routes.
“EverFRESH provides the precision and performance needed for sensitive shipments,” said Kay Henze, Account Manager, Global Container Refrigeration at Carrier Transicold. “Together with OptimaLINE’s efficiency, we’re helping Great White Fleet meet quality and sustainability goals.”

-
Up to 40% CO₂ emission reduction versus previous Carrier models*
-
Adjustable O₂ (1–17%) and CO₂ (1–19%) levels for tailored control
