Carpenters Shipping Implements PSS for Vanuatu

Carpenters Shipping Limited has announced the implementation of a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) due to rising operating costs and sustained surges in demand across the sector.

The surcharge will apply to all bills of lading dated on and after November 27, 2025, for cargo originating from Asia and destined for Port Vila and Santo, Vanuatu.

The following quantum of increase will take effect:

• 20’GP: USD 330.00

• 40’HC: USD 660.00

Carpenters Shipping stated that the measure is necessary to maintain reliable service levels amid increased operational pressures. The company expressed appreciation for customers’ continued support and encouraged them to contact local representatives for further clarification.
