Everllence secures first G70 Mk10.7 engine order

Everllence won an order for 2 × 6G70ME-C Mk10.7 engines. They will power two 159,000 dwt crude oil tankers for Dynacom Tankers. The vessels are under construction at New Times Shipbuilding (NTS) in Jiangsu, China. The engines will be built in Korea. This marks the first sale of a 70-bore engine from Everllence’s Mk10.7 platform.

Bjarne Foldager, Head of Two-Stroke Business, said: “We introduced the Mk10.7 platform in November 2023. It covers bore sizes from 50 to 95. In 2024 alone, we received 40 Mk10.7 orders. This year we expanded the range to 80- and 95-bore. This G70 Mk10.7 order shows strong market demand. We expect 80- and 95-bore orders soon.”

Susanne Kindt, Senior VP of Engineering, said: “The Mk10.7 is the latest generation of our two-stroke engines. The G70ME-C10.7 combines a simplified design with competitive fuel efficiency. Shipowners can retrofit it to dual-fuel whenever needed. It suits Suezmax tankers, container feeders, and bulk carriers of 180–210,000 dwt.”
