Greencarrier AB has acquired a 60% majority stake in Container Norway Utleie AS, a respected Norwegian provider of container sales, rental, and customized container solutions.

The deal strengthens Greencarrier’s strategic focus on broadening its logistics offering and delivering more flexible, project-specific container solutions to customers across a wide range of industries.

Container Norway Utleie AS has been active since 1994 and has built a strong market presence supported by extensive sector experience and long-term customer relationships. The company delivers a wide variety of container units and tailor-made configurations throughout Norway, backed by an experienced team and a well-established network.

Under the agreement, Greencarrier becomes the majority owner while the existing owners, Øyvind Degnes and Jan Krokedal, retain a minority stake. Degnes will continue as CEO to ensure continuity, stability, and ongoing customer focus as the business enters its next phase of development.

Moreover, the acquisition significantly enhances Greencarrier’s capacity to provide integrated logistics and container services. By combining Greencarrier’s established logistics network with Container Norway’s specialist container expertise, the companies will be able to deliver more comprehensive and flexible solutions across sectors such as construction, manufacturing, shipping, energy, and storage.

“Container Norway has built a reputable and well-managed business, and together we see major opportunities to expand our commercial offering and meet evolving customer requirements. This acquisition strengthens our logistics capabilities and increases the value we can deliver to customers,” says Fredrik Hermansson, Business Development Manager at Greencarrier.

Additionally, Container Norway Utleie AS will continue operating under its existing brand and corporate structure. According to CEO Øyvind Degnes, the partnership with Greencarrier creates a stronger platform for continued development: “Since the 1990s, I have had the privilege of building and leading Container Norway.

Joining forces with Greencarrier gives us the foundation to continue delivering container solutions that meet high expectations for quality, flexibility, and responsiveness. I look forward to further expanding the business in the years to come.”

Together, Greencarrier and Container Norway Utleie AS gain a stronger position for future investment, organic growth, and potential expansion opportunities both within Norway and internationally.

This partnership further solidifies Greencarrier’s ambition to diversify its logistics portfolio and provide customers with end-to-end support that includes movable infrastructure, storage, transport, and tailored container applications.
