TPA, Africa Global Logistics advance Bagamoyo Port project
The Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) and Africa Global Logistics (MSC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the Bagamoyo port development in Tanzania.
The MoU covers the design, construction, and operation of three berths, with civil works scheduled to start in January 2026 and expected to last three years.
The Bagamoyo project, first proposed 21 years ago, is planned as a major regional hub. At full buildout, it will feature 28 berths and a 9,800-hectare economic zone, supporting trade, investment, and industrial growth in East Africa.
