AD Ports, Kuwait Ports Authority sign MoU

AD Ports Group and the Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore the development and operation of container operations at Shuaiba Port. The agreement was signed in Kuwait City and witnessed by ministers from both countries.

Under the MoU, AD Ports Group will conduct technical, environmental, and financial feasibility studies and identify infrastructure requirements. The Kuwait Ports Authority will provide the project site, support the studies, and assist in obtaining necessary licenses and approvals.

Sheikh Khaled Salem Al Sabah, Director General of KPA, said the collaboration reflects a commitment to joint investment and economic cooperation, aiming to enhance Shuaiba Port’s capabilities and role in maritime trade.

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO of AD Ports Group, noted that the partnership leverages AD Ports Group’s expertise in ports, terminals, and logistics solutions to ensure the project’s success and strengthen GCC maritime cooperation.
