Cavotec wins second reel contract for Port Hedland
Cavotec has secured a second contract from Australian construction and engineering firm Civmec to supply a motorised cable and hose reel system for Port Hedland in Western Australia.
The system will support power transmission and dust suppression operations at the port, one of the world’s largest iron ore export hubs. It will improve reliable reeling performance and strengthen heavy-duty material handling capabilities. Delivery is scheduled for the first quarter of 2027.
Cavotec announced its first reel contract with Civmec for Port Hedland in October 2025. The repeat order further reinforces Cavotec’s position in Australia’s mining and bulk material handling sector.
“This contract reflects the confidence our customers place in Cavotec’s technology and expertise in demanding industrial environments,” said Cavotec CEO David Pagels. “We are pleased to continue supporting Civmec with robust and efficient reeling solutions.”
