Maersk Denver completes additional Trans-Suez sailing

Maersk conducted another East-West Suez transit trial following the successful passage of Maersk Sebarok in December 2025.

On 11–12 January 2026, the U.S.-flagged Maersk Denver (voyage 552W, MECL service) safely transited the Bab el-Mandeb Strait into the Red Sea. All necessary safety measures were applied, prioritizing crew, vessel, and cargo security. Customers were notified directly.

Future sailings will follow a stepwise approach. If security conditions remain stable, Maersk will continue gradually resuming East-West Suez navigation. No additional sailings are announced at this time.
