MSC enhances Dragon and Jade services

MSC has announced significant enhancements to its Dragon and Jade services, aimed at delivering faster transit times and improved connectivity between Asia and the Mediterranean.

Under the revised network, the Dragon service will introduce a new direct call at Trieste. The addition is expected to reduce transit times by five days and provide improved access to key Adriatic and Northern Italian markets, including Koper, Rijeka, Venice, Ravenna and Ancona.

The Jade service will also be upgraded with a new direct call at Fos-sur-Mer, cutting transit times by seven days and strengthening connections to Southern France and surrounding markets.

According to MSC, the enhancements are designed to offer faster and more reliable access to strategic Mediterranean destinations while improving overall service efficiency on the Asia–Mediterranean trade lane.

The first Dragon vessel operating on the enhanced service will be MSC Thais, voyage FD608W, with an estimated arrival in Busan on 18 February. The rotation will be: Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Nansha – Yantian – Singapore – Trieste – Gioia Tauro – Genoa – La Spezia – Sines – New York – Boston – Norfolk – Charleston – Freeport, Grand Bahama – Busan.

The first Jade vessel on the upgraded service will be MSC Mette, voyage GJ607W, with an estimated arrival in Qingdao on 10 February. The rotation will be: Qingdao – Busan – Ningbo – Shanghai – Xiamen – Yantian – Singapore – Valencia – Barcelona – Fos-sur-Mer – Gioia Tauro – Singapore – Qingdao.

MSC said the service upgrades reflect its continued focus on strengthening network coverage and providing customers with faster and more competitive transport solutions across key global trade lanes.
