Messina resumes calls to Syria

Messina Line has resumed operations in Syria, with the port of Latakia now included in the carrier’s Red Sea, Gulf and IPAK service network, according to Dynaliners.

The move marks Messina’s return to the Syrian market, integrating Latakia into a broad rotation that links Southern Europe, the Middle East, the Indian subcontinent and North Africa. The service connects Castellon, Barcelona, Marseilles (Fos), Genoa, Naples, Aqaba, Jeddah, Djibouti, Nhava Sheva, Mundra, Karachi, Jebel Ali, Jeddah, Latakia and Misurata, before returning to Castellon.

The inclusion of Latakia strengthens connectivity between the Eastern Mediterranean and key markets across Asia and the Middle East, while reinforcing Messina Line’s presence across the Red Sea and Gulf trades.

According to Synaliners, the updated rotation reflects Messina’s strategy of maintaining an extensive and flexible service network across multiple regions.
