Everllence to supply compressors for MODEC FPSO offshore Brazil

Everllence will supply compressor technology for a new FPSO operated by MODEC offshore Brazil. The systems will support the Gato do Mato – Orca Project in the Santos Basin.

MODEC has commissioned Everllence to deliver five compressor trains for the vessel. The FPSO will operate in the pre-salt area, around 200 kilometres south of Rio de Janeiro, at a water depth of approximately 2,000 metres.

Once operational, the FPSO will produce up to 120,000 barrels of oil per day. Gas production capacity will reach 360 million standard cubic feet per day.

Shell operates the Gato do Mato project with a 50% stake. Ecopetrol holds 30% and TotalEnergies 20%. Brazilian state-owned PPSA participates as production sharing contract manager.

The compressor systems will help maintain reservoir pressure in the Orca field. This will support stable production and improved efficiency.

Everllence will supply five barrel-type RB compressor trains. Two units will handle flash-gas compression and three will support high-pressure gas injection. Electric motors will drive the flash-gas units, while gas turbines from Solar Turbines will power the injection trains.

MODEC and Everllence will coordinate closely with Solar Turbines across engineering, delivery, and lifecycle support.

“We are pleased that MODEC has again selected our compression technology,” said Jens Hüren, Managing Director of Everllence Brasil. He said FPSO projects demand high availability, execution reliability, and long-term support.

Holger Wörner, Head of Sales Upstream at Everllence, said the order reinforces the company’s position in the offshore sector. He added that the systems deliver reliability while supporting operators’ long-term sustainability goals.

Everllence PrimeServ in Brazil will provide local service support. The team will assist with commissioning, operations, and long-term maintenance throughout the FPSO’s lifecycle.
