Nikolaos and Chrysi Vardinogianni were united by the sacred bonds of marriage in a romantic ceremony in Athens’ historic Plaka district.
Members of Spanish and Danish royal families gathered in Athens for the wedding of Nikolaos, son of Greece’s late former king Constantine II and Chrysi Vardinogianni, the daughter of shipping magnate Giorgos Vardinogiannis.
Nikolaos, 55, is the third child of Constantine II and Danish princess Anne-Marie, who were the last King and Queen of Greece.
The ceremony was held in Athens, Greece, and many well-known friends and family attended to honour the couple’s union.
The Greek Orthodox wedding of Nikolaos De Grèce and Chrysi Vardinogianni took place on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 18:00 at the Holy Church of St. Nicholas Rangavas in Athens.
The ceremony was led by His Eminence, Metropolitan of Kissamos & Selinos, Amphilochios, and attended by close relatives and friends.
The groom’s siblings, Pavlos, Alexia, and Theodora, and his nephew Konstantinos-Alexios were among the couple’s best men and bridesmaids.
