Chinese yard starts construction of 26,000DWT chemical tanker

Upon completion, the tanker will have an LOA of 156.7 metres, a beam of 26.8 metres, a design draught of 9.5 metres, and a service speed of 13.5 knots.

SDARI expects that, through line optimisation and intelligent longitudinal control system design, the vessel's fuel consumption is three per cent lower than that of similar ships under the same loading and speed conditions.
