PALFINGER PFM 2100: Reaching a New Level in Outreach and Performance
PALFINGER MARINE has just rolled out the PFM 2100, the latest in its PFM crane lineup. This robust foldable knuckle boom crane is tailored for the aquaculture sector, especially fish farming, adn also service and workboats. The PFM 2100 merges advanced engineering with impressive outreach and strength while keeping its weight down.
“Our mission with the PFM 2100 was straightforward: create a powerhouse that excels in reach and precision for challenging marine conditions,” shares Daniel Perdolt, Product Manager at PALFINGER MARINE. “Our clients face demanding tasks daily; this crane is built to tackle those challenges head-on.”
Smart Design Meets Heavy-Duty Performance
The PFM 2100 boasts an impressive outreach of over 29 meters while lifting up to 4,000 kilograms even at full extension—safely and efficiently. Its lightweight design makes it ideal for various vessels, including smaller workboats. By optimizing its structure, PALFINGER MARINE has minimized deck space usage while enhancing stability and fuel efficiency—key considerations for operators navigating open waters.
This model introduces a unique patented P-profile featuring nine boom extensions that provide extensive motion capabilities without compromising strength or stiffness during heavy lifts. The innovative design not only boosts performance but also enhances stability while keeping weight manageable.
But let’s not forget about control! The high-speed operation of the crane comes from a top-notch hydraulic control valve that ensures smooth movements across all functions. this combination of speed and an excellent weight-to-performance ratio means quicker operations and improved workflow efficiency—whether handling repetitive tasks or executing intricate maneuvers.
