China Airlines Embraces Innovation with WebCargo's Digital Booking Platform

According to a recent declaration from Freightos, China Airlines (CAL, 2610.TW), recognized as one of the leading air cargo carriers globally, is set to join the Freightos WebCargo and 7LFreight platforms.

Beginning next week, freight forwarders will gain immediate access to China Airlines’ pricing, available capacity, and eBooking options across an extensive fleet of 85 aircraft that service 192 destinations in 29 countries.

This new integration allows forwarders to easily search for rates and book shipments with China Airlines directly through WebCargo’s platform.They can even make reservations straight from their transportation management systems (TMS) if those systems are linked with WebCargo.

Zvi Schreiber,CEO of Freightos,expressed enthusiasm about this development: “We’re thrilled to welcome China Airlines into our top-tier air cargo booking ecosystem on both WebCargo and 7LFreight.”

“Our clients—airlines, freight forwarders, and shippers—are currently facing rapid changes in tariffs.The ability to book air cargo instantly and transparently is crucial for maintaining versatility during these times while ensuring global trade continues smoothly.”

The initial launch will cover key hubs in the United States, canada, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Japan as well as various locations throughout Mainland China including Hong Kong and Taiwan. Southeast Asian destinations such as Malaysia and Singapore will also be included. Future updates will introduce webcargo Pay for instant payments on bookings with China Airlines so that forwarders can handle both reservations and payments seamlessly within one workflow. This integration will encompass general cargo along with express rates.
