Czech Automotive Components Navigate the Trans-Caspian Corridor to Kazakhstan
According to a recent publication by Nurminen Logistics, the company has launched a new block train service that transports 40-foot containers filled wiht car components from Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic to Allur’s automotive plant located in Kostanay, Kazakhstan.
Allur is known for producing and distributing vehicles for various brands such as Škoda, Chevrolet, and kia.
This initiative follows a successful test run conducted by Nurminen Logistics alongside Red Star Logistics back in January. Now, they are rolling out this monthly service.
The route takes advantage of the Trans-Caspian rail and sea corridor, cleverly avoiding russian territory. This strategic shift came about after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in early 2022, which has made this route increasingly vital for European businesses looking to maintain supply chains.
“We’ve invested notable effort into collaborating with various operators and ports to guarantee swift delivery times and reliable connections. Our extensive experience and established reputation in Central Asia have been instrumental,” shared Marjut Linnajärvi, who oversees International Rail traffic & Sales at Nurminen Logistics on May 20.
