Intermarine signs €60m deal with Italian Defence Ministry for minehunter fleet support
Intermarine, part of the IMMSI industrial group, has signed a four-year framework agreement worth €60 million ($68.3 million) with NAVARM, the directorate of naval armaments under Italy’s Ministry of Defence. The agreement aims to maintain the operational capabilities of the Italian Navy’s fleet of minehunters, Intermarine announced.
According to the company, the new program is designed to ensure continuity of operations ahead of the introduction of the new generation minehunters, which are scheduled to enter service from 2029. The transitional support will cover mine countermeasure operations, seabed surveillance, and the protection of underwater infrastructure.
