According to a recent proclamation, Shanghai Pudong International Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. (PACTL) has teamed up with Lufthansa Cargo Servicios Logísticos De México, S.A. DE C.V. (LCSLM) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). This partnership is set to enhance logistics innovation and improve trade efficiency across continents.

The MOU outlines several collaborative efforts aimed at bolstering the air cargo supply chain linking China and Mexico, especially in the realm of e-commerce exports and essential imports.Here are some key focus areas:

  • Boosting freighter operations: The two companies plan to work together to increase the frequency of freighter flights between China and Mexico by engaging both national and international carriers, advocating for favorable regulations, and leveraging synergies from their shared parent company, Lufthansa Cargo AG.
  • Smoothing trade flows: This partnership aims to streamline logistics for exports and imports between the two nations, ensuring more dependable cargo movement while supporting bilateral trade growth. A particular focus will be on enhancing the e-commerce supply chain as well as improving processes for critical imports into China such as fresh produce, pharmaceuticals, and other high-value items.
  • cohesive marketing efforts: PACTL and LCSLM will collaborate on branding initiatives that aim to boost visibility in new markets while unlocking additional business opportunities.
  • Cargo terminal collaboration: Both parties will share knowledge regarding terminal planning,construction projects,and operational strategies to enhance ground handling efficiency along with infrastructure growth.
