B&H Worldwide Achieves Milestone Aircraft Dismantling Project in Hong Kong for AerFin

According to a recent announcement from B&H Worldwide, a prominent player in aerospace logistics, the company has successfully wrapped up an intricate project involving the teardown of six aircraft for AerFin at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA). This initiative, which kicked off in mid-September 2024 and reached completion in April 2025, showcased B&H’s extensive logistics capabilities and earned AerFin the esteemed Ishka Editor’s Award for “Deal of The Year 2024.”

This enterprising endeavor marked HKIA’s first commercial teardown of this magnitude, focusing on six Airbus A330-200 aircraft. B&H Worldwide’s expertise was essential in overcoming the unique hurdles presented by one of the busiest airports globally. The dedicated team on-site delivered a comprehensive logistics package that included:

• On-the-ground coordination for inspection, packing, and sorting aircraft components.
• Daily updates and coordination with the teardown service provider.
• Segregation and secure handling of large-value parts.
• Safe storage solutions for aviation components before dispatching them while ensuring compliance with customs regulations.
• A range of freight forwarding services including customs brokerage and expedited shipping options for urgent items post-teardown.

B&H Worldwide also played a vital role in managing inventory effectively, maintaining documentation accuracy, tagging parts for traceability, facilitating local transport needs, and ensuring smooth operations despite challenging conditions.
